Researchers at the University of Connecticut revealed that blackcurrant could help prevent bone loss. In their study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, the team looked at the effect of blackcurrant on bone mass in an estrogen-deficient mouse model.
In conclusion, blackcurrant may help prevent osteoclast-induced bone loss in menopausal women.
